How you'll make an impact:
Lead and grow the Materials Management team (Purchasing/Buyers, and
Material Program Managers)
Develop, implement, and lead all material management operations, aiming to
ensure the right availability of the right product at the right place and
time. These processes include but are not limited to Purchasing (buyers
desk) to support all in-house manufacturing as well as consigned
materials and material management through program lifecycle from NPI to
Sustaining to EOL.
Establish, communicate, and implement long term goals HW ops, to promote
effectiveness and efficiency.
Develop and implement Supply Chain Operations policies, procedures, and
processes
Work closely with the cross functional teams to continuously improve the
Ops policies and procedures, to enhance organizational value and
efficiency
Develop and manage the performance metrics, including but not limited to
On Time delivery, Material availability, Inventory accuracy in support of
Skydio corporate goals.
Plan, schedule and manage various purchased materials for programs.
Effectively communicate material requirements and program
timelines/milestones to external suppliers
Work with external suppliers to establish the appropriate delivery
schedules for individual components, specifying quantity and frequency
targeting on-time delivery; coordinate with Supply Chain team and
Logistics as needed.
Identify supply chain risks and mitigation steps to ensure material
readiness
Communicate status and risks regularly. Escalate in a timely manner
Own the leadership communication on the program to all key stakeholders:
program management, PMI, engineering & supply chain
Ensure BOM accuracy by working with engineering, PMI and document control
team
Maintain accurate MRP data to reflect confirmed delivery quantities and
due dates from suppliers, validate, troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies
Collaborate with Supply Chain and Engineering to support material changes
and plan for new material and minimize obsolescence of old material
Provide ongoing transparency of inventory levels and ensure continuous
inventory accuracy
Work fluidly in a highly cross-functional team environment involving
manufacturing, program management, product development teams, design
engineers, supply chain, production control and logistics teams
Look for opportunities to identify and drive improvement projects/
processes
Generate and publish performance metrics on the program

What makes you a strong fit:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Operations. Master's
degree preferred
8 to 10 of related experience, ideally in Aerospace and/or Automotive
industry
3 to 5 years of supervisory experience
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks
based on demand is required
Ability to present material status effectively in weekly program/executive
meetings is required
Results oriented and metrics driven leader, with Significant hands-on
experience in materials management, production planning, material
scheduling, and/or purchasing in a manufacturing environment is required
Strong communication skills
Ability to work in a fast paced and highly regulated environment
Outstanding team building and leadership skills
Teamplayer
Open-minded, collaborative and team-oriented attitude is required
Self-motivation and resourcefulness are required
Ability to solve problems in a fast-paced work environment with minimal

Strong analytical capabilities, including ability to optimize delivery

Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software and ERP systems

Compensation Range:
The annual base salary range for this position (spanning multiple
experience levels) is $144,500 - 195,500. Compensation will vary based
on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge,
and experience. In addition to base salary, Skydio full-time employees are
eligible to enroll in our benefit plans and take advantage of a variety of
incentives and stipends.
For some positions the pay may be dependent upon the individual's regional
location.
