Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Quality Engineering to join our team. The Manager of Quality Engineering will be responsible for leading and managing the quality assurance processes and teams within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality engineering, with a focus on implementing and improving quality assurance strategies to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the quality engineering team to ensure the implementation of effective quality assurance processes and procedures.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance strategies to meet established quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Accountable for maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) and AS/ISO/NADCAP certifications across the Operating Unit
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible to determine and manage technical quality document preparation, including quality plans, inspection plans, end item data packages (EIDP) in accordance with customer requirements and statements of work.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for quality improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Analyze data and metrics to monitor quality performance and identify trends or patterns that may impact product or service quality.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members on quality engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall quality management system and increase operational efficiency.
  • Stay current on industry trends and developments in quality engineering to ensure the adoption of best practices and technologies.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience or 10 + years of equivalent combination of education, training, and experience with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Quality Management Systems (AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP and government standards) and Certifications
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience, conducting or managing internal audits
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build credibility with, interact with, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally as an effective business partner; well organized with solid judgment; able to multitask and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams of indirect or direct reports.
  • Experience with new product introduction.
  • Leadership experience with large scale projects and products
  • Must be able to create and present executive level presentations.
  • Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies

  • Certified Quality Engineer
  • Certified in Six Sigma Problem Solving
  • Experience in automotive, aerospace manufacturing, medical etc.
  • Experience in APQP & PPAP.
  • Experience or certification in PMP.
  • Uses vision to think beyond the immediate situation, explore multiple potential paths, and adapt decision-making style based on the situational circumstances

  • Physical Demands

  • Ability to work in an office and manufacturing environment (Constant)
  • Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent)
  • Special Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
  • Occasionally may be required to travel within the Continental U.S.
  • The salary range for this role is:

    $116,480 - $174,720
