OVERVIEW
The Manufacturing Competitive Intelligence Analyst supports development of manufacturing benchmarking studies, leads alignment of government incentives and investment announcements for the manufacturing team and supports various cross functional strategic studies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Consolidate, manipulate, and analyze large amounts of manufacturing data for all major OEMs
Track and update manufacturing footprint data for all major OEMs globally
Conduct deep dive studies of select competitors to support leadership decision making
Coordinate OEM manufacturing plant visit process for North America
Develop knowledge of GM manufacturing footprint and integrate into benchmark studies
Lead alignment for government incentives and investment announcements for the manufacturing team
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain master production volume data files for vehicle and propulsion for all OEMS Example : 10 year global volume forecasts by model, by plant, markets of sale, production capacity
Distill large amounts of complex manufacturing data into concise presentations
Communicate with Manufacturing leadership on plant visits and organize reciprocal plant visits to OEM sites
Support regional labor negotiations by providing compelling competitive manufacturing data
Manage data purchase contracts with suppliers; work with GM Purchasing to ensure payment
Coordinate data for GM product investment announcements and government incentive process
Monitor EV industry and ensure key manufacturing developments are communicated to leadership
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Business/Economics, Engineering or equivalent
High level of analytical ability where problems are ambiguous and complex
Ability to manipulate large amounts of data quickly and accurately
Ability to work independently and cross functionally
Broad business perspective, ability to synthesize information and identify critical issues
High level of oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects under tight time constraints
Highly proficient with Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems
Working knowledge of automotive industry, global vehicle segments and GM key competitors
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Business/Economics or equivalent
Manufacturing experience (plant level or direct support of plants)
Working knowledge of GM global vehicle portfolio and manufacturing footprint
Working knowledge of Power BI
