Job Description

The position opening is for a Manufacturing Engineer (MFE) supporting MOE4 assembly production areas.

Job Description

  • We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer self-motivated, innovative team player with a passion for working in a dynamic environment to support the automatic and semi-automatic oxygen line sensors. Responsibilities will include output stabilization and scrap failure reduction projects, supporting production through development of technical documentation, managing equipment upgrades, and working with vendors and internal employees to maintain and improve the line.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and quality plans according to company standards (including process flow diagrams, control plans, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis “FMEA's”, process control documentation, standard work instructions, etc…), and gage calibration to comply with TS/ISO/IATF requirements
  • Implement & coordinate engineering changes (Change management), new manufacturing or product releases, and capacity increases including production parts approval process PPAP builds.
  • Investigate and solve root causes of manufacturing process problems, using 8D, Shainin methodology.
  • Identify and lead projects to improve cost, quality, delivery, utilization, and safety of manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinate activities including preparation, completion and closing of open points within international production network (IPN).
  • Qualifications

    Indefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only. Future sponsorship for work authorization is unavailable.

  • BS in Engineering or related technical field (preferred mechanical, electrical, or industrial).
  • High level of teamwork, self-initiative, detailed, self-motivated and ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
  • Preferred 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (relevant co-op/internship experience included).
  • Preferred experience with equipment maintenance and management (Preventive maintenance (PM), Total production maintenance (TPM) knowledge).
  • Strong problem-solving skills (Shainin, 8D Methodology, etc.)
  • Use of analytical skills to problem solve and troubleshoot.
  • Preferred understanding of production and quality documentation (Control Plan (CP), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (P-FMEA), Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and capabilities, Engineering Change Request).
  • Preferred project leadership skills, ability to prioritize workload and meet established targets, ability to manage and balance multiple projects at once.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with multiple interdepartmental personnel (such as operations, quality, logistics, and technical functions), and willing to receive and share information.
  • Preferred knowledge of Bosch Production Systems (BPS) and lean manufacturing
  • Co-Op experience strongly preferred.

    Preferred:

    Shainin certification preferred. Effective root cause analysis and problem- solving skills. Experience with PowerBI or Tableau, SQL preferred.
