Job Description

Indefinite U.S. Work authorized individuals only. Sponsorship for work authorization is not available.

  • Fulfill Project management tasks for New Equipment / Manufacturing lines.
  • Introduce new equipment to lines, including design, ordering, and integration of equipment in the line. Management of MAP book for all equipment acquisitions.
  • Manage department Capital spending plans
  • Oversee all software reflashing, parameter update, and testing activities for Automotive infotainment system lines.
  • Modify and write test tables using UTS software to implement required tests / activities on Nissan.
  • Maintain accurate and complete FMEAs (Failure Mode Effects Analysis), Control Plans, and Process Flows.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensible PQIs (operator instructions) and ATs (technician instructions) to ensure all processes on Nissan lines are completed properly.
  • Train and coach line technicians. Guide training coordinator and group leader in training operators on new or special processes.
  • Continuously improve line metrics/KPIs such as FPY, scrap rate, quality assurance, cycle times, OEE, standard workflow, and ergonomics.
  • Use problem solving techniques (Pareto / Shainin / Design of Experiments / etc.) to determine root causes of frequent failures and find solutions.
  • Maintain accurate and complete FMEAs (Failure Mode Effects Analysis), Control Plans, and Process Flows.
  • Design and oversee MSA (Measurement System Analysis) studies as needed for new equipment and equipment needing an updated study (after the required time range is expired or equipment is moved).
  • Ensure error proofing parts are available and used daily at all stations requiring error proofing (typically stations with gages or barcode scanners).
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensible PQIs (operator instructions) and ATs (technician instructions) to ensure all processes on Nissan lines are completed properly.
  • Complete corrective actions for FMEA low detection or prevention findings and audit findings.
  • Serve on an 8D team to determine the root cause of any customer complaints and complete corrective actions.
  • Represent the department during customer visits and audits.
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering
  • Experience with a programming language / knowledge of the fundamentals of programming.
  • Experience with Robotics
  • Prefered:

  • Electrical Testing Experience
  • Script programming experience similar to Python
  • Ability to work with and teach all levels of the organization.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
