Work Arrangement

Hybrid – Position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time but the general expectation is that the employee be onsite an average of 3 days per week. On-site work will take place in Warren, Michigan.

The Role

The Prismatic Processing Engineering Group thrives on developing processing technologies to manufacture electric drive units and EV (Electric Vehicle) requirements within Global Propulsion manufacturing process. General Purpose of the position is to support the development of component machining process, work to sustain manufacturing repeatability and productivity improvement, execution through start of production (SORP). Work collaboratively with Product Engineering, Manufacturing Area leads and other cross functional teams to address build issues. This role will actively support the GPS build events at prototype development lab, pre-production facilities and other GMNA manufacturing sites.

Additional Description

Your Skills & Abilities (required qualifications)

  • 2+ years manufacturing processing engineering experience.
  • Experience with machining, cutting tooling, operational parameters, manufacturing, and measurement processes
  • Demonstrated understanding of plant floor and product design manufacturability
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
