One of our great engineers are leaving us on maternity leave approx. 12 month and we are seeking a temporary colleague in this time. This role has a significant impact on the current and future quality level at Universal Robots. You will be given responsibility for initiating and managing projects with the purpose of improving internal quality performance to improve our product and in the end better customer experience.

With your structured and proactive mindset as well as your passion for supporting the production you will drive Quality and Assembly improvement projects and ensuring the communication with stakeholders. This is done by working with a structured problem-solving approach, while being very hands-on. We are data driven and initiate actions and improvements based on fact's and KPI's.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying possibilities to improve the quality of internally and externally processes by data
  • Working in a structured manner on problem solving (e.g. PDCA, A3 and DMAIC)
  • Troubleshooting deviations and implementing preventive actions
  • Using data to take the right decision
  • Setup systems to improve our production data governance
  • Data driven analysis based on Six Sigma thinking (e.g. Excel, minitab and Microsoft PowerBI)
  • Analyze causal relations and implement preventive actions
  • Taking actions based on internal quality recordings (SPC)
  • Participates in PFMEA workshops to ensure quality risks mitigated
  • Create cross-functional collaboration processes and follow up on the same
  • It is of great importance that you can navigate in a complex and fast paced working environment and still be structured and analytical in your work. Equally important is it that you find enjoyment and motivation in solving complex quality related tasks.

    This position reports to our Head of Global Operation, Said H. Hussein.

    To be successful in this position we imagine you will come with:

    A technical background and experience in structured problem-solving. You are dedicated and experienced in creating quality, consistent results and keeping the processes in focus. Educationally, you have a technical background either as a Production-, GMM- or Mechanical Engineer. As we are a global organization, you need to have strong communication skills both written and spoken Danish and English is a requirement. Danish used in daily communication.

  • Experience from a production company
  • Experience in working with structured problem solving (Six Sigma & LEAN)
  • Experience in driving continuous improvement processes
  • Experience in managing complex tasks with a team around you
  • Being “hands-on” and GEMBA-minded in production is an advantage.
  • Work hands-on and action-oriented
  • As a person you are independent, but still a team player. You are motivated by solving complex tasks and still you are very practical in the way you approach things.
