Description

The Role:

  • Executes deliverables in support of the supply chain organization's business objectives. Ensures business objectives are met or exceeded in all areas including customer, quality, service, responsiveness, people, product, and financial initiatives
  • Position communicates to all levels of the organization, within the function as well as other functions and suppliers
  • Ability to understand and assess complex supply chain issues and lead teams in a cross functional environment to successfully resolve issues minimizing impacts to vehicle production
  • Assess supplier schedules and impact on vehicle assembly production.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to develop creative solutions.
  • Ability to summarize critical issues with resolutions and communicate to leadership
  • Handle very complex capacity constraint issues to resolution with goal to eliminate potential plant disruptions and reduce premium transportation.
  • Analyze metrics supporting supplier critical issues or sufficiency plan resolution.
  • Ability to be flexible and at times work extended and non-core hours to ensure issues are worked to resolution
  • Investigate part histories to identify misuse, specification problems, unaccounted scrap or potential theft
  • Audit receiving process, follow-up and resolution of discrepancies, including duplicate receipts
  • Investigate/Validate discrepant receipts (DRs) & NSR's
  • Investigate supplier payment disputes (Close the Loop Process)
  • Process and manages carrier claims from submittal to closure
  • Performs material receipt analysis and investigates losses/discrepancies
  • Plan and execute cycle count to support monthly and annual corporate requirements
  • Process outbound shipping manifest and maintain customs documentation as required (Shippers)
  • Oversees min reporting process.
  • Additional Description

    Qualifications:

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Advanced Microsoft excel skills – using complex formulas, creating, and executing macros
  • Lean Manufacturing Strategy knowledge and implementation experience.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with the plant's business partners, union workforce, and supply base.
  • High Level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
