We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Supervisor in our Medium Voltage Drives Business based in Oak Creek, WI. The Mechanical Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for management of the designing, documenting, support to manufacturing for customer specific orders as well as responsible for product cost and assuring that the design intent and customer specifications are transferred into a quality, manufactured product that meets corporate objectives and the customer's demand rate. The Mechanical Engineering supervisor will supervise the Mechanical Engineering staff, including management of development projects, customer orders for MV Drives, providing staff with training/support, and responsibilities such as budgeting, performance reviews, expense report and time off approvals. This role will provide technical input, planning and support on product implementation, detail design, certification and design processes. The ME Supervisor will collaborate with our corporate parent engineering staff in Japan for future product enhancements, the current product design, and certification of MV drives. This role will assist product marketing, application engineering, manufacturing (global), training and technical support and consulting requirements for priority projects.

The successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 7 years of development or design experience as well as excellent knowledge of sheet metal and welded structure design, metal fabrication, forming, and welding shop practices and procedures. The Mechanical Engineering Supervisor should have knowledge of 3D design software preferably SolidWorks, a working knowledge of AutoCAD and mechanical stress and load calculation as well as experience with SolidWorks Simulation tools. The ideal candidate will have the ability to read, comprehend, and design mechanical parts and assemblies, select components, create BOM's, interpret specifications, and write procedures.
