Job Description

We are currently seeking a P &C Operations Specialist - Temp to support the employee experience by providing a high level of customer service, support, and project coordination throughout the hiring and onboarding process.

Assignment: This is a temporary assignment for 6+ months with full time hours on a 9/80 work schedule.

Location: This role is required to be onsite in Simi Valley/Moorpark, CA several days per week.

Position Responsibilities

  • Assist employees with day-to-day People & Culture (P&C) inquiries; work with internal teams, Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Payroll, Digital Business Technology, etc. to ensure employee questions are answered thoroughly and in a timely manner
  • Manage employee onboarding and facilitate Day 1 New Hire Orientation
  • Initiates, tracks, and reconciles background checks and drug screens. Ensures completion and provides candidate follow-up throughout the hiring process
  • Provide Workday system support for new hires
  • Partner with HRIS on troubleshooting issues
  • Maintain integrity when handling highly confidential and critical information
  • Proactively provide general support as needed to the P&C team
  • Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience & training
  • 5+ years of experience, with minimum of 2 years direct experience in Human Resources in a fast-paced and complex organization
  • Experience in managing new hire onboarding and other employee related programs
  • Experience with background checks and I-9 processing
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Experience with HR systems (Workday preferred)

  • Ability to understand and adapt to rapidly changing priorities and to prioritize accordingly
  • Flexibility, strong work ethic, and a strong desire to get stuff done
  • Have an analytical mindset and have a track record of being a self- directed problem solver
  • Experience in a Technology, Engineering and/or Aerospace and Defense company is preferred
  • Physical Demands

  • Ability to work in an office or home office environment (Constant)
  • Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent)
