The paint planner is responsible for inventory, ordering, and improving paint production aides; along with managing the indirect materials for the shop. The planner will also be responsible for PFMEA risk reduction reviews, activities, and documentation of these items. The planner will be the level two cost champion for Paint and help drive cost related activities for the department.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Cost Champion for department
  • Help drive scrap meeting
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Production Aides
  • Indirect Materials (Gloves, Rags, alcohol wipes, covers, small tools etc)
  • Safety Training, tracking and scheduling, SOT collection
  • Physicals, tracking and training
  • Salary Vacation calendar
  • Help department with any parts/indirect material questions, STS, common coding

  • Understand and follow the Emergency Response Process
  • GMS (Global Manufacturing System) Training
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Focus on Problem Solving/Continuous Improvement
  • Understand Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
  • Understand COMMWIP - Waste Elimination
  • Understand and follow Environmental Requirements of Area
  • Knowledge of BPD (Business Plan Deployment) for levels 4 and 5
  • Ability to complete SAP duties as required
  • Ability to assist in other capacities as needed within the department
