Description

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.

· Operations level experience in automation or robotic cells.

· Demonstrated ability to work independently or with others as a member of a team.

· Demonstrated project management skills.

· Demonstrated understanding of large-scale project development, management, and implementation procedures.

· Ability to troubleshoot process improvement needs as well as root cause identification of equipment failures.

· Ability to work with plant process teams in development and continuous improvement of paint processes.

· Demonstrated oral and written communications skills.

· Demonstrate high level of analytical ability, communication and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with team members and customers to solve problems and resolve issues.

· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and assignments with medium level of autonomy and high accountability for results (may work under the direction of a senior process engineer).

  • Maintain of SFMEA's, PFMEA's and Control Plans. Analyze, develop, process, and implement Engineering Changes
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an aptitude for learning systems quickly. Able to utilize structured problem-solving techniques such as DMAIC, Ishikawa, Five Why (5W). Able to resolve high level performance issues into addressable actions.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control and its application
  • Employee development including mentoring, training, and evaluation of employees
  • Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015) and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001:2015), as applicable
  • Knowledge and experience with effective implementation of Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) principles and methods
  • Additional Description

    Preferred Skills:

    · Experience commissioning and/or operating paint shop equipment and systems.

    · Fundamental understanding of the entire automotive painting process (phosphate, electrophoretic deposition, sealing, robotically applied painting).

    · Experience in programming FANUC paint and sealing robots.

    · Ability to read electrical and mechanical prints.

    · Experience with FANUC Paint and Sealer Robots; P-200, P-500, P-700, P-1000, S-500, M-710, M-720iA, M-2000, M-20iA.

    · Experience with multiple FANUC robot controller platforms: RJ, RJ2, RJ3, RJ3iB, and R30iA, R30iB.

    · Experience with automation simulation software; Paint Pro, Tecnomatix Process Simulate, etc.

    · PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.

    · Experience with different paint and sealing application methods
