Description

As a part of GM's Human Resources Group you will lead day-to-day business activities and provide direction and leadership in all areas of HR, that align and support our objectives, mission and culture. You strategically and functionally work with assigned business function's leadership team to improve working relationships, build engagement, increase output, attract and retain talent, including working with COEs relative to strategic workforce planning. You will not only have a “seat at the table” , you will have the opportunity to create moments that matter for hundreds of employees throughout the year.

This People HR Partner position is highly collaborative, across the HR function (i.e. with Centers of Expertise, with Business HR, Labor Relations, and local business functions). It requires a high measure of interpersonal skills and business acumen.

Responsabilities:

- Work through the implementation and execution of HR operating model for Ecuador. - Workday change management process execution, adoption strategy for Workday for both Ecuador. - Consult with local and regional leadership team to execute HR plans and programs, in order to improve work relationships, increase productivity and retention, also to support business unit optimization and transformation, workforce planning and restructuring -Support Talent Management discussions providing guidance to leadership: coaching, consulting, retentions and corrective actions, etc. -Support and execute annual compensation planning process and ensure alignment to pay for performance/behaviors - Partners with Regional HR Leaders, Business HRs and CoEs (Centers of Expertise), to deliver effective HR solutions to the business, in a consistent way, aligned with global procedures - Used data to make recommendations for continuous improvement, working together with Business HR & the business leaders. - Support & followed up investigations to solve and address employees' complaints, harassment allegations or issues. - Partner with employees and management to communicate policies, procedures, laws, etc. for the countries in charge.

- Partner with employees and leaders on career management tools, discussions and competency development - Onboard new employees and support the transition process to get a jumpstart of their GM Employee experience. - Performance management support, mentoring and employee coaching. - Partner with employees on performance concerns - follow up on low performers and plan deployment. - Facilitate Culture, DEI (Divesity, Equity and Inclusion) and Leadership Programs Deployment and other adhoc training efforts within South America. - Workplace of choice results deployment and partner with business for gap identification and plans. - Participate in regional and global HR projects to be launched in South America.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or disciplines related to

  • business.

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in partnership roles, preferably in core HR.

  • Fluent/advanced English knowledge.

  • Native/Fluent in Spanish.

  • Availability to work hybrid at the office located at Quito, Ecuador.

  • Prefered: Workday experience.
