About the Project Manager /Planner/Scheduler/Customer Specialist

Role:

This position is within General Motors' Pre-Production (PPO) / Artisan Center organization and is responsible for planning, scheduling, launch, and specializing in creating a top-notch customer experience. This role requires the ability to work collaboratively across many functions to drive program success. You must be able to prioritize the needs of multiple functions while meeting the customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage cross functional teams
  • Single point Artisan Center Cadillac Celestiq contact for scheduling
  • Develop and implement scheduling process for the Artisan Center to take orders from POMS and enter into EVOS
  • Manage Change
  • Support Quality Processes- Represent on VAPET
  • Support Build Floor Activities
  • Support PPO Program Execution Meetings (Timing Workshops, VAPIR, etc….)
  • Support achievement of BPD objectives following GMS principals.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all business deliverables are identified and accounted for in the project plan with responsibility and prioritize due dates
  • Continuously supervise and report on project status
  • Provide mentorship and support during execution of change management activities
  • Own the identification, documentation, and traceability of business requirements
  • Investigate and detail complex business processes
  • Prepare presentations for various levels of leadership
  • Developing tracking scorecards and metrics to illustrate status and ownership.
  • Developing milestone reviews for the key milestones and ensures the team is on track to deliver.
  • Track business resources and identify any shortages based on project plans
  • Coordinate the input and approval of various project design and decision documents
  • Assist Workstream Leaders in handling multiple efforts simultaneously across a broad range of functions, business and organizational units
  • Monitor project progress and consolidate status reports
  • Gain an understanding of program workstreams/projects to be able to assist in identification of issues and risks
