Job Responsibilities: As a PPO Process Engineering Supervisor you would be responsible for the direct leadership of a group of process engineers for Global Propulsion Systems' Pre-Production Operations overseeing the ME execution of engine, transmission, and electric drive unit prototype builds in the alpha, beta and gamma phases. Manage, and drive the continuous improvement of the CME collaboration and tooling procurement processes in the execution of each product program; as well as ensuring that the equipment/process can meet the requirements of the product specifications and BOP, developing business cases and procurement of new equipment when required. Additionally, this group will support GMS and BDP initiatives and provide SME support in basket-weave audits as well as safety initiatives and observation tours. Managing this team will require independent judgment in the selection, training and developing of engineers, assigning work with deadlines and clear expectations, and administering employee CAP's.

  • Participates in the selection of new employees

  • Trains, develops, and evaluates employees

  • Assists in the development and execution of the Key Indicator Report (KIR) for each product program's build phase, and the departmental budgets and forecasts within assigned area

  • Leads and supports development and execution of sufficiency plans in attainment of program timing and yearly SPQRCE goals

  • Coordinates the flow of information between departments and organizations within PPO, CME, and the plant

  • Regular contact with others outside the work group including Product Teams, PMT's and CME

  • Maintains safety and good housekeeping standards

  • Actively identifies new areas for learning and takes advantage of learning opportunities for his/her peers

    Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a combination of GPS Manufacturing (machining and/or assembly), GPS Product Program execution (new product launch preferred), Central ME (Prismatic, Gear, or Assembly Engineering, Test Engineering, and/or Industrial Engineering)

  • Bachelor's Degree with a major in engineering (mechanical/industrial) or equivalent experience/training required

  • Demonstrate excellent level of analytical ability, communication, and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with team members and customers to solve problems and resolve issues

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and significantly complex projects and assignments with high level of autonomy and accountability for results

  • Demonstrates initiative by reaching beyond work assigned to improve output and/or help others

  • Proven ability in project management skills and ability to teach others

  • Demonstrated desire and ability to manage/coach performance of direct reports

  • Understanding of prismatic, gear, and assembly tooling and processes (i.e., BOP)

  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of computer software and applications as it pertains GPS-PEC PPO

  • MS Office, AutoCAD, MS Project, Teamcenter (TcVis), PQMS, CTMS, eSAP, PRTS, ABAT, FlexNet, etc.

  • Knowledge and ability to implement GMS principles
