We are “all in” for an Electric future in General Motors Manufacturing Engineering. To get there we need Manufacturing engineers that are interested in Battery, E-Motor and Fuel Cell Manufacturing. Specifically, we are seeking candidates who want to work in the area of measurement systems. You will be challenged to apply new technology such as precision laser, CT scanning, and optics to innovative new products and manufacturing processes. You will also be charged with implementing these new systems into production sites. To get to an electric future, we also need to continue to build on our legacy of awesome conventional vehicles as well. We will also have several opportunities to support Engine & Transmission projects in the Measurement Systems area. Our team members work from home, at General Motors facilities and suppliers to be effective.
-You will collaborate with a Diverse team including subject matter experts in Measurement Systems-some of the best in the world!
- You will analyze and implement product or machinery designs for the best method for measurement processes/techniques.
- You will propose and evaluate the processes for Measurement equipment
- You will direct the design, development, and/or improvement of Measurement Systems equipment and processes
-You will lead the procurement activities for purchase of Measurement systems related to Battery, E-motors and Internal Combustion Engine projects
-You will work with suppliers to assure Measurement systems are designed, built and delivered on time with high quality!
-You will support the execution of the projects using Remote access tools as well as on-site interaction.Additional Description
College degree with major in engineering or equivalent training/experience
Experience/knowledge of Battery and/or E-Motor Manufacturing
Powertrain component and process familiarity/experience
Familiar with UG, Autocad and/or Polyworks
Gage/Fixture design experience
Gage/Fixture Build & Runoff experience
Formal Problem Solving - RedX or OPEX training and skills
