Working as a Product Manager, you will be a key member of the marketing and sales team in Motion NEMA Motors in Greenville, South Carolina defining marketing plans, including marketing communication, training and sales initiatives. In this role, you are accountable for the long term profitable growth and marketing of assigned Laminated Frame RPMAC product lines. The offering is to specific segments and is managed from development though all phases of the product life cycle based on market needs and AC Performance and Direct Drive motor product needs.

Your responsibilities
  • Market Analysis: Lead analysis in market and customer needs to ensure products and services are properly positioned in the global market. Competitive analysis. SWAT/GAP analysis
  • Thorough understanding of the customers' needs and applications
  • Existing product and new product development: Ensure existing products are managed throughout the life cycle. Develop product/technical specification for new products and lead development efforts with R&D, manufacturing and sales. Establish prices for products as wells as cost goals. Responsible for profit margins
  • Literature Creation and Maintenance: Drive the product marketing strategy and work with MarCom to update the Product Literature as directed by senior product management. Work with the engineering and manufacturing to launch new products to our District Offices and International LSU's (Local Sales Unit​) for global sales
  • Your background
  • Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, computer science or related (MBA preferred) with minimum 8 years related workforce and of those 8 years a min of 5 years in Product Marketing or Product Support for Motors, Automation or Drives Products or other equivalent experience
  • Experience in writing specifications, either for product or applications
  • Familiar with personal computers and business software
  • Group presentation preparation and delivery
  • Data analysis
  • Technical expertise in Industrial Automation and drive systems requirements
  • People and team building skills (lead cross functional teams)
  • Problem solving and decision making skills
  • Create innovative solutions
  • PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers)/Supervisory Communications experience
  • Travel as per business needs up to 40%
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
