AeroVironment Inc (AV Inc.) accelerates and pushes to expand its reach across our business, we are embarking on a digital and technological transformation to ensure our data, processes and technology support our ambitious goals. As part of this effort, we are looking to build out our DBT Project Management Office (PMO).

The highly skilled Project Coordinator will have the unique opportunity to help design and shape the future project management capabilities at AV Inc. The Project Coordinator will support our Project Managers in organizing and maintaining ongoing projects.

Position Responsibilities

  • Interview stakeholders to identify, understand, and define project requirements, financials, scope, objectives, etc.
  • Assist Project Managers with developing project strategies and road maps.
  • Create and maintain a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective.
  • Assist in assigning project tasks to relevant parties and check in for status updates.
  • Maintain and monitor project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
  • Chair and facilitate status meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members.
  • Document and follow-up on important actions and decisions from meetings
  • Ensure projects are running on time and on budget and communicate project changes to necessary stakeholders; provide solutions when appropriate.
  • Organize and maintain project documentation on server.
  • Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed—escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans.
  • Act as a point of communication between company teams and external resources
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

  • A four-year degree (bachelor's degree or the global equivalent) is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 3+ years of business facing project management experience with sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving are required.
  • Proven success in a corporate setting, working with all levels of management.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong technical skills including MS Project, Visio, and advanced Excel.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • High emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to navigate a variety of professional relationships.
  • Structured problem-solving skills: ability to identify and elevate high- impact issues/risks for executive review.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.

  • Occasionally may be required to travel within the Continental U.S.
  • The salary range for this role is:

    $58,520 - $87,780

    AeroVironment considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the location, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
