Factory ZERO is our first, all-electric automotive assembly plant and the blueprint of General Motors' electric future! We have a corporate vision of “Zero crashes, Zero emissions, Zero congestion.” Our most novel products like the Hummer EV and our very first autonomous vehicle, Cruise Origin will be assembled right in this facility. This requires us to employ the most upbeat, capable, and innovative talent to ensure we meet the challenges of developing the new manufacturing processes required to assemble these outstanding products! Job Description:

As the Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer, you will have the responsibility of co-leading Quality System processes and requirements with the Quality Assurance Manager; be the lead auditor and document controller for Factory Zero. The QA will promote, educate, communicate, and follow up on safety initiatives, while maintaining safety culture through audits, observation, and incident investigation. The QA Engineer will have knowledge of quality control procedures, manufacturing processes, and management systems as they relate to production operations; as well as a high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Assist in obtaining resources to effectively perform operations.
  • Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS)
  • Knowledge of all ISO and Government Regulatory requirements.
  • Spill Tracking and document retention for problem solving
  • Global Read Across co-champion for the plant.
  • Train and Implement Quality Requirements
  • Lead ISO Audits, activities, and Co-Champion all external audits for the plant.
  • Attend weekly Quality Requirements call
  • Manage and maintain Quality Libraries per ILM requirements

    Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Manufacturing Plant
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience/knowledge of GM Global Manufacturing System (GMS), GM ISO and BIQ audit process
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement processes (CIP)
  • Preferred:

  • Preferred experience with vehicle assembly processes.
  • Preferred experience with SharePoint
