As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for managing all quality systems by following GMS Built-in-Quality standards. You will lead cost reduction initiatives for the manufacturing scrap accounts and for building strong relationships with customers and suppliers. You will need to possess the ability to deal with complex problems.

Roles Responsibilities:

  • Corrective action and tracking for IPPM & PPM results and developing annual business plan for Quality to align with corporate stamping goals.

  • Support Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) processes across multiple departments.

  • Serves as a resource in supporting launch and pilot activities in assigned areas while helping to meet or exceed production cost schedule and maintains quality requirements.

  • Maintain awareness of quality standards, and communicates department quality goals, and utilizes resources to solve quality issues.

  • Build and maintain good working relationships with employees, union and management.

  • Implements and follows systems that prevent reoccurrence of known issues.

  • Promote safe work practices and achieve objectives for ergonomics, health and safety and housekeeping. Motivates, trains and develops employees to effectively perform their jobs utilizing standardized methods.

  • Achieve production schedules and product requirements by applying lean manufacturing/synchronous principles with emphasis on variation reduction, control costs, and achieve productivity improvements.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in FMEA (Failure Mode Affects Analysis).

  • Experience in quality systems in controls plants.

  • Launch experience.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

  • High level experience with problem solving.

  • Ability to work OT as needed.

  • Ability to work an off shift as needed.

  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering field.

  • 3-5 years of experience working in a quality environment.

  • Stamping experience.
