Within the site in which they are working they are to coach and teach the Quality Requirements, while also ensuring the communication and effective implementation of the Quality System being exercised within each Department.
This position involves a considerable amount of initiative in working independently as well as the ability to develop strong relationships across all departmental areas.
Responsibilities
Must occasionally travel for dealer visits visit 3rd party cross dock for evaluation (approx. 25% travel)
Conduct weekly quality meetings for all staff
Assist with material return processes
Attend NA Quality meetings to ensure common solutions at local plant
Support BIQ Basketweave meetings and prepare for BIQ Assessments
Provide quality application training to user groups – SharePoint/GQM
Complete Business Plan initiatives
Coach/ train plant on quality system / quality requirement changes and implementation
Complete Task Workflows on GQR Changes Maintain applications for the site (IQ, Linked Lists)
Submit open issues and recommend solutions Coordinate New GL on board training for Quality Processes
Coordinate responses to corrective actions, ensure site solutions
Manage Record Center for Quality (RIM, ILM) and the QMS Audit Program / 3 Year Review Process / Plant Internal Audits
Demonstrates expertise in knowledge of the processes required to perform, and ensures they are effectively performing job responsibilities utilizing standardized methods
Motivates direct reports and/or business partners through effective communication, training, coaching, development, and recognition
Identifies opportunities for improvement using tools such as layered audits
Achieves Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Cost key performance indicators
Cultivates a safety culture, and implements and enforces workplace safety rules and policies
Implements GMS and lean principles
Models GM's cultural behaviors and always demonstrates the highest level of integrity
Maintains good working relationships and communicates with employees, union representatives, and management team
May evaluate team performance, and promotes continuous improvement
Achieves quality standards by communicating goals and leveraging resources to solve problems
Understands and consistently administers company policies
May completes administrative tasks such as timekeeping, and maintain departmental records and reports
Performs all other duties as assigned
Ability to work any shift as dictated by the business
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience
Experience supervising employees in a union environment and/or in a warehousing/ manufacturing/ distribution environment.
Knowledge of warehousing/manufacturing /distribution processes and procedures.
Understanding of basic math and technology of area where assigned.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
High level of analytical ability where problems are complex.
Adept interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization, motivate employees and elicit work output.
Ability to work any shift as dictated by the business
High level of proficiency with Microsoft software (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Proficient in SharePoint
Detail oriented
Willingness and aptitude to learn new computer software
Preferred Qualifications:
Sig Sigma Certification
GMS knowledge and execution experience
Problem-resolution/Labor Relations experience
