Description

Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired. This position requires an employee to be onsite 3 times per week .

GM Energy is reimaging the electric ecosystem. We're designing integrated energy solutions that will change energy as we know it. As we build out this new business, we are introducing new products, partnerships, processes, and technologies to become a modern energy provider. The scrum leader will help us succeed through collaboration, leadership and knowledge.

As a Scrum Lead , you will lead multiple projects/teams facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint demo, retrospective meetings, and other project related activities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure all business results are identified and accounted for in the project plan with responsibility and due dates
  • Develop project plans, schedule, and work breakdown structure for software development projects
  • Define project scope, charter, goals, and results in support of business goals while working with senior leadership and customers for approvals
  • Lead the identification, documentation, and traceability of business requirements
  • Own the completion and approval of project design and decision documents
  • Track resources and identify any shortages based on project plans
  • Align cross-functional business and technical teams to help ensure alignment of goals while resolving conflicting priorities
  • Assist Workstream Leaders in balancing multiple efforts simultaneously across a broad range of functions, business, and organizational units
  • Understand program workstream/project relationships, lead issue resolution, and ensure risk mitigation
  • Implement organizational change activities
  • Ensure projects are completed on time while meeting business and system requirements
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and encourage conversation by focusing on scrum values of willingness, integrity, and respect
  • Lead/implement code deployment process with the team, which may include evening and/or weekend work, as needed
  • Communicate project status, progress on results, and risks/issues to customers and leadership in a timely manner

    Core Qualifications:

    Must have 5+ years of applicable work experience in the following:

  • Proven understanding of Scrum theory, rules, and practices
  • Practical experience with requirements and test case development
  • Successful in leading projects demonstrating different software development methodologies, specifically Iterative, Incremental, and Agile
  • Proven skills to mentor teams especially those comprised of internal and external team member some of which are in alternate locations
  • Basic knowledge across the overall software development processes/procedures to understand challenges of the various team members
  • Strong skills in problem solving, predictive analysis, specifically on software development/deployment projects, resource/staffing management
  • Experience in measuring project success factors with respect to cost, schedule, and quality, i.e. product requirements quality, test quality and code quality
  • Strong experience interacting with business customers and handling expectations
  • Ability to work with business interface teams, business leads, development & QA teams, and interlock resource managers to estimate cost and negotiate requirements to minimize project impact
  • Ability to take and understand the dedication to deliver the product on time, while being creative enough to encourage a team to success
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical subject area or equivalent experience/training
  • Strong proficiency with tools such as ADO/ TFS
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience/ knowledge of customer experience, CRM, marketing., sales processes
  • Experience with multiple agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.
