Job Description:

The Security Compliance Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting the implementation and adherence to GM's Cybersecurity direction, policies, standards, and technology roadmaps across various infrastructure platforms and their associated applications. This role is essential for maintaining a secure environment by enforcing compliance through established procedures, policies, and processes. The analyst will also engage in comprehensive analysis and oversight of compliance activities across GM's infrastructure platforms, while concurrently developing, monitoring, and managing documentation related to compliance and remediation plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cybersecurity Compliance: Collaborate closely with different teams to ensure the applications are consistently administering and adhering to established procedures, policies, and processes. Enforce cybersecurity compliance measures to safeguard GM's technology environment.
  • Cross-Functional Analysis : Conduct in-depth analysis to evaluate compliance across various infrastructure platforms. Coordinate efforts to identify gaps, risks, and areas of improvement while facilitating compliance initiatives.
  • Documentation and Tracking : Develop, monitor, and maintain documentation detailing compliance and remediation plans. Regularly update documentation to accurately reflect the current state of compliance efforts.
  • Collaboration : Work alongside platform application teams to align compliance strategies and requirements. Foster open communication and drive cohesive security action plans.
  • Communication and Networking: Utilize strong communication skills to convey compliance information effectively, both in written and verbal forms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and facilitate productive discussions.
  • MS Office Competencies : Utilize Microsoft Office tools proficiently to create and maintain documentation, reports, and presentations related to compliance efforts.
  • Accountability and Results: Demonstrate a driven attitude and take responsibility for delivering results. Encourage accountability within the team and uphold GM's behavioral standards in a winning culture.
  • Hybrid:

    Position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time but the general expectation is that the employee be onsite an average of three (3) days each week

    Qualifications:

  • 3 – 5 years relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, concepts practices and procedures.
