Introduction
Deploy and maintain mission-critical global cloud infrastructure using Amazon Web Services (AWS) tools such as CodeDeploy and CodeBuild. Respond to operational alerts to diagnose and resolve incidents in collaboration with other stakeholders. Interface with other teams that rely on the Cloud Operations team for support. Automate cloud infrastructure maintenance and build self-service capabilities to reduce manual work hand-offs. Develop high- level designs that balance inventive, maintainable, and scalable solutions with business requirements and timelines. Enable DevOps solutions development and deployment paradigms. Develop point and strategic solutions using AWS platforms and embrace serverless design patterns where appropriate. Creates, designs, builds, and maintains internal tools to help support the operational work of internal teams. Serves as backup to Cloud Operations Manager where appropriate, including but not limited to approving changes to production environment. Use strong communication skills (written and verbal) to work within a team rotation to support urgent software development requests. Position allows telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. Salary: $135,304 -$150,197per year.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field plus 3 years of professional experience performing software development with object-oriented programming languages including Python, Java, or C++ using SOA or microservices principles, as well as working with networking, operating systems, and programming in a Linux- or Unix-based operating system. Must also have the following special skills: 3 years of professional experience using AWS foundational cloud services for storage, computation, event processing, messaging, data processing, and analytics; 2 years of professional experience using notational data representations including JSON and XML; 1 year of professional experience utilizing IoT concepts and applications; 1 year of professional experience investigating, debugging, and resolving issues in existing software; and 1 year of professional experience performing web development using REST.
