Introduction
We seek an experienced Senior Operations Program Manager with demonstrated
success in representing Operations and Supply Chain within New Product
Development and Sustaining Production Program teams. This role will be the
Operations point of contact for all program needs, help drive program team
members to deliver all Operations milestones and execute successful production
launch in support of the Program schedule and in accordance with Operations
production readiness processes. As a Senior member of the team the candidate
for this role will be key in driving continuous improvement and maturation of
Operations Program Management processes and procedures.
What You Will Do:
Primary Operations representative to Program team to understand and
coordinate Operations program requirements for all New Product Development
and Sustaining products.
Understand and coordinate Operations and supply chain program
requirements. Determine and secure Operations resource needs to support
program (personnel and assets) and ensure coordination for Operations
capital and spend requirements.
Develop, communicate, and status Operations schedule within the integrated
Program schedule.
Drive DFx activities early in the program development process in
partnership with the Manufacturing Engineering and Contract Manufacturing
and Supply partners to support design optimization and achieve 100%
resolution of manufacturing issues.
Drive Bill of Material and Drawing reviews to assure accuracy and
production team readiness.
Drive on-going Manufacturing product cost analysis in support of the
design to cost process and successful delivery of product cost targets.
Drive manufacturing readiness reviews to ensure all Operations functions
are ready for next NPI cycle.
Work with Engineering and Quality to identify and qualify robust suppliers
– cost, lead time, quality, and reliability.
Work with Strategic Sourcing to develop and implement Manufacturing
Service Agreements and Statements of Work with key suppliers.
Work with Contract Manufacturer (CM) to ensure all BOMs, AMLs, and
associated data elements are in place to support planning, procurement,
build, and ship processes.
Work with CM to drive material and build readiness for prototype, pre-
production, and production ramp builds in adherence to schedule
requirements.
Work with CM to ensure all change activity (ECN, variances, deviations)
is implemented accurately and effectively to support program schedule.
Assess Operations process effectiveness and drive for continued
improvements.
To be Successful You Will Have:
10+ years' relevant experience in an Operations/Manufacturing environment;
hands on manufacturing experience on manufacturing floor.
Ability to lead cross functional team members under critical schedules and
conditions of change.
Experience in Manufacturing New Product Introduction and Sustaining
Project Management.
Experience working within a global Contract Manufacturers model,
specifically with APAC Manufacturing.
Bachelor's degree in engineering required; Master's degree preferred.
Strategic thinking with global reach.
Strong Negotiation skills. Ability to influence design decisions based on
DFX output.
Strong business acumen. Team player attitude with high energy level, able
to get things done by working with and through others.
Ability to establish trust and confidence with customers, employees, peers
and executives while driving for results.
Understand (interpret) financial summaries, supply chain, cost structure
and cost reduction strategies for products.
