Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired. This person is able to be located in Michigan or Texas.

  • This position requires an employee to be onsite 1-3 times per week.
  • Web applications play a vital role in providing GM customers with seamless experience across our ecosystem and are critical to our recently announced growth strategy. Our goal is to meet or exceed customer expectations by providing seamless experience through easy-to-use digital products and services.

    The Senior Web Strategist will assist the head of web products to define, socialize and implement web strategy across the enterprise - simplifying & streamlining the web ecosystem and enabling the business to respond to evolving market needs.

    Job Description:

    The Senior Web Strategist will be responsible for the following activities to enable the web channel team to deliver best-in-class digital customer experiences -

  • Focus on the long-term, while being nimble and flexible to address near term immediate business needs as well.
  • Assist in analysis & research activities, including competitive benchmarking, and developing proof of concepts in collaboration with our UX team.
  • Collaborate with UX, IT, Performance Driven Marketing, and other partners to drive definition and adoption of standards across the ecosystem
  • Help with establishment and adoption of the CX Maturity Assessment Framework
  • Help define and implement web governance model addressing both customer experience and maintenance of ecosystem health to support best in class CX
  • Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with CX Research, UX and Analytics teams to understand business and technology trends and develop insights that translate into recommendations.
  • Present strategies and roadmap to executive, VP, and C-level leaders.
  • Evangelize and drive adoption established web strategies. Influence the product strategies of various digital lines of businesses.
  • Support facilitation of strategy and planning sessions
  • Obsess over all aspects of our digital customer experiences to uncover improvement opportunities and bring them to life.
  • Drive process improvement through data, insights, and customer feedback

  • 5-7+ years experience customer-first orientation, with end-to-end experience in delivering customer facing web solutions
  • At least 3 years experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
  • Current with understanding of latest state and trends of web and mobile technologies, software development methodologies, SEO, Measurement Strategy etc.,
  • Experience in Digital Product Management
  • Highly developed problem identification and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with a passion, initiative, and persistence to excel. Comfortable in both taking and giving directions
  • Extremely comfortable working in ambiguous and quickly changing environments
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, empower team members, and elicit work output
  • Excellent Influencing and negotiation skills are critical for success in this role
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Highly developed verbal and written communications skills; Influencing skills
  • Factors that would be considered plus
  • Process improvement and quality background
  • Prior experience in customer experience management
  • Knowledge of SAFe
  • Education:

  • BS/BA with 10+ years software, engineering, or high-tech experience
  • MBA would be a plus
