Job Description

Summary

The Sr. Applications Database Administrator plans computerized databases, including base definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, operational guidelines and protection. One ensures accuracy and completeness of data in master files and various support tools. Establishes and maintains security and integrity controls.

Position Responsibilities

  • Supports, upgrades, and maintains the Oracle technical stack (Database 11g/12c, 10g AS, and WebLogic 11g/12c) running on Oracle and Red hat Linux
  • Maintains Oracle Workflow, manage, and troubleshoot business flows, setup, and configuration of workflow mailer
  • Implements and maintains AutoConfig. Uses Oracle Applications Manager to perform administrative tasks
  • Upgrades EBS applications and databases from one major version to another
  • Troubleshoots issues with forms, Apache, concurrent programs, and concurrent managers
  • Performs Oracle database related daily maintenance tasks
  • Creates disaster recovery test plans and execute against them periodically
  • Works effectively with developers, system administrators, and end users to resolve issues
  • Setup of database and applications monitoring using OEM, shell scripts, and other monitoring tools
  • Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments

  • Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Minimum of 12 years' experience in installing, configuring, updating, and maintaining Oracle databases and Oracle applications
  • Experienced with backup software such as CommVault or equivalent
  • Demonstrated technical skills with PLSQL/ Linux shell scripting/WebLogic
  • Proficient with MS Office and other office productivity software tools

  • Having broad expertise, uses skills to contribute development of company objectives and principles
  • Skilled at working in a multi-project environment and support multiple internal departments
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to convey complex technical concepts in non-technical terms
  • Able to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where small teams share a broad variety of duties
  • Displays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives
  • Takes ownership and responsibility for current and past work products
  • Is committed to learning from mistakes and driven to improve and enhance performance of oneself, others, and the company

  • The salary range for this role is:

    $132,205 - $198,307
