Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Lead, Supplier Quality Specialist to join our team. As the Sr. Lead, Supplier Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient supplier performance process including 3rd party consultant and quality software programs. Your leadership skills, analytical abilities, and a deep understanding of aerospace quality standards and regulations will play crucial role in the success of quality supplier deliverables.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead team of specialists and administrators with the assigned tasks to achieve excellence in supplier quality management.
  • Standardize the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the department.
  • Ensure that quality standards and delivery requirements are met through assessing and improving supplier performance.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and 3rd party consultants to address non- conformances, deviations, and quality issues, facilitating corrective and preventive actions to drive process improvements and ensure timely resolution.
  • Coordinate with external consultants to support supplier quality initiatives, ensuring effective utilization of resources and expertise.
  • Responsible for the documentation repository for supplier-related materials, including contracts, certifications, and quality records.
  • Prepare for and support supplier audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and records are readily available for review.
  • Maintain Material Review Board (MRB) Inventory Management Process.
  • Supporting process for managing offsite integration for production line located out of state, to meet the quality standards.
  • Define, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supplier quality to drive improvement initiatives.
  • Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and emerging trends related to supplier quality management in the aerospace industry.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or degrees in a relevant field are preferred.
  • 6+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of inspection techniques, measurement tools, and quality control processes.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards (AS9100/ISO9001:2015) and government regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively at all levels
  • Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies:

  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers regarding supplier quality issues, resolutions, and improvement plans.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on supplier quality administration processes, procedures, and best practices.
  • Able to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where small teams share a broad variety of duties
  • Displays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives
  • Takes ownership and responsibility for current and past work products
  • Is committed to learning from mistakes and driven to improve and enhance performance of oneself, others, and the company
  • Focuses on teamwork and puts the success of the team above one's own interests
  • Physical Demands:

  • Ability to work in an office environment.
  • Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent)
  • Special Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
  • O ccasionally may be required to travel within the Continental U.S.
  • The salary range for this role is:

    $35 - $53
