As a Senior Sales Engineer - OCR systems, need to support the local Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost- effective solutions and prepare technical descriptions of the applied products and technology to support the proposal process. Serve as a key technical re-source in the assigned area.

Your responsibilities
  • Offers technical advice and provides comment on enquiry specifications for customers/channels/Sales Managers with regard to ABB products/systems/ applications
  • Provides technical support during the technical meeting, product presentations and negotiations
  • Partner closely with our sales team to provide product demonstrations and technical insight during the sales process
  • Translate customer needs into the right options of our products as well as build demonstration environments and explore the possibilities of our products
  • Conduct pre-sales technical demonstrations of products
  • Build compelling demos and proof of concepts
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to existing and prospective customers
  • Talk with customers and engineers to assess their needs and to determine system requirements
  • Help our prospects with how to best utilize products within their use cases
  • Assist in development of technical presentations and demos for Customers showcasing our product capabilities
  • Your background
  • Require Bachelors degree with 8 year's experience
  • Experience with Marine Container Terminals processes
  • Experience and understanding of OCR technology, AI, and OCR systems
  • Experience gathering requirements to understand which products will meet customer needs
  • Sales and account management experience
  • Project Management experience.
  • Self-driven learner who can pick up technical concepts and platforms quickly
  • Can technically speak to, present, and demonstrate technology solutions
  • Comfortable presenting to non-technical and technical audiences alike
  • Ability to deliver compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer agreed upon timeframes
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong written English language skills
  • Able to communicate at a senior level
  • Ability to coach sales teams and subject matter experts in persuasive writing
  • Driving subject matter experts to produce winning content
  • A broad knowledge of marketing principles and procedures and thorough understanding of proposals
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Technical writing and editing ability
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
