GM's Strategic Risk Management (SRM) team is driven to proactively identify and manage key risks impacting the strategic decisions that enable the company to achieve its strategic objectives. The team is seeking a bright, enthusiastic, and proactive professional to partner with likeminded individuals on this mission.
As an SRM Analyst, you will be responsible for collaborating with the team and cross-functional business partners to support GM's global strategic risk management program.
What You'll Do:
Collaborate with the team and functional leaders to analysis and improve strategic decision making impacted by significant uncertainty
Design and implement decision workshops using tools such as Game Theory, Wargaming, and Tabletop exercises
Facilitate senior level, cross functional participants through dynamic workshops
Strive to be a trusted advisor to senior leadership by contributing to identification of key insights and strategic recommendations to inform GM's “tough choices”
Support the development of high-quality, persuasive senior leadership presentations
Work closely with Risk Analysis teams to formulate scenarios and impacts to GM strategies and understand the link between strategic decisions and enterprise risks
Research, analyze and communicate global current events that may directly impact GM's most strategic decisions
Employ strong project management skills to keep the team organized and able to achieve its goals and objectives
Work tenaciously to identify opportunities to innovate and improve current processes
Promote the SRM brand and general risk awareness across the organization, by supporting educational sessions on risk management principles and practices.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
3-7 years of business experience with demonstrated executive presence
Bachelor's Degree (minimum) from an accredited college or university
Proficient facilitator in both large and small group formats
Excellent problem-solving ability and critical thinking skills
Broad exposure to GM's business and/or automotive industry
An strong interest in strategy and decisions, including interest in Game Theory, Wargaming, and strategy gaming
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Outlook, Teams & SharePoint
Adapt at working in a project driven assignment, employing strong project management, organizational and time-management skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines
Proven ability to operate effectively under minimal supervision.

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
Master's degree with a major in Finance, Systems, Strategic Studies, Business Administration, or equivalent
Exposure to Design Thinking, Instructional Design, and workshop development
Exposure to risk management and/or business control practices
Demonstrated ability to think creatively and critically.
