Description

GM's Creative Technology and Training team is seeking a Teamcenter Business Lead who is a specialist in all aspects of Teamcenter functionality and integrated tools such as Alias, NX and Tc Vis. The role requires business and technical support, leading projects, managing changes to the software, testing, and providing technical training to the end users.

This position requires an employee to be onsite 2-3 days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Support all Global Design departments regarding Product Data Management (PDM) and the application and interoperation of 3D Software (Alias/NX, …)
  • Support the definition and maintenance of PDM user access (Users, Groups, Roles, Projects)
  • Coordinate the development and execution of new or enhanced business processes by leveraging the capabilities deployed in the latest Siemens Teamcenter software releases.
  • Identify and prioritize business requirements for projects.

  • Coordinate input from internal and external customers to better understand their needs and or perceptions.

  • Develop and execute global business validation test plans for new versions of Teamcenter; this includes determining the scope of testing activities, monitoring, and escalating defects.

  • Monitor and maintain the list of outstanding Teamcenter issues; pro- actively work with IT to create and execute a plan to implement issue fixes in production environment.

  • Resolve PLM issues, including a determination of root cause, impact assessments, and the development of a solution. Occasional end user support may be required.
  • Provide Teamcenter PDM and its key integrations expertise, and mentor, coach, and develop users.
  • Handle a variety of non-recurring and/or special assignments.
  • Create and distribute bulletins regarding functionality, issues, and defect fixes to the Teamcenter user community.
  • Support the Global Design Training organization in the planning and development of Teamcenter training material.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities with PDM methods integrated globally and cross-functionally.

  • Develop and document proposals for standard work improvements based on customer requirements.

  • Develop business requirements, value statements, and use cases based on customer input for projects as required.
  • Direct process test efforts to pilot and deliver; this includes test case development and test strategies; create and execute test cases, and document and resolve issues.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or 5 years of related work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Must have a minimum 5 years of experience in the Teamcenter, NX, and Visualization applications.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in design, engineering or manufacturing systems and/or processes.
  • Understanding of GM GVDP process is preferred

  • Strong knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter (Tc) and NX

  • General knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter Visualization
  • General knowledge of Teamcenter integrations with Alias
  • High degree of expertise using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong knowledge of Project Management and Process Modeling methods
  • Ability to prioritize assignments/projects and multi-task within restricted time constraints
  • Strong interpersonal (team) and communication (oral, written) skills to work effectively with global business, IT, and technology partners to execute projects, solve problems and resolve issues.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills to effectively develop solutions
  • Ability to work under tight timelines and handle multiple assignments at once.
