Key Responsibilities:

  • · Understand customer needs – as the internal representative of the customer, collaborate with customers, business owners, system/solution architects, epic owners and product owners to understand and deliver to customer needs and ensure roadmaps are reflective of these needs.
  • · Manage and prioritize the flow of work – support the workflow through the program Kanban and into the program backlog. Responsible for ensuring enough work items are always prioritized and ready in the backlog. Identify and manage dependencies with other workstreams.

    · Define release content – maintain commitment to plan of record and continue to ensure alignment of plan with key customers and stakeholders. Establish/adhere to agreed upon capacity allocation guardrails for each Program Increment (new features, enablers, technical debt, unplanned interrupts).

    · Work with system architect/engineering to understand enabler work – while you are not expected to drive technological decisions, you are expected to understand the scope of upcoming enabler work. Collaborate with system and solution architect/engineering to jointly sequence the architectural runway that will host new business functionality.

    · Develop and communicate the program vision and roadmap – continuously develop and communicate the vision to the agile teams, while defining the features of the system. Collaborate with system and solution architect/engineering, ensure that the solution meets relevant standards and other system quality requirements. Responsible for feature and capability roll out plan for all L2++ and ADAS, which describes how the features will be rolled out.

    · Participate in PI planning – during each PI planning session, present the vision, which highlights the proposed features of the solution, along with any relevant upcoming milestones. Collaborate with business owners to achieve approval of PI objectives.

    · Drive relentless improvement – serve as an active participant in system demos, backlog refinement and retrospective workshops. Must be a creative, highly motivated, passionate agile thinker looking to move the organization forward in our scaled agile journey.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Math, Computer Science or related technical degree.
  • 5+ years of automotive systems engineering experience and 3+ years of experience in project/product management in an Agile organization.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to plan and prioritize work to deliver required business objectives on time with quality
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills where problems are very unusual and extremely complex
  • Proven track record to deal with ambiguity, embrace changes and challenges and work in a fast-paced environment with sometimes incomplete requirements.
  • Understanding of major automotive vehicle systems such as AD/ADAS systems, chassis and vehicle dynamics, automotive networks, propulsion, body controls, infotainment (HMI) etc.
  • High level of oral and written communication skills.
  • Travel to engineering sites and supplier offices as required.
