The Technician Experience Solution Manager will serve as the single point owner to execute a major transformation in the service experience. They will work to align system engineering, agile release trains, program teams and other stakeholders to assure features and capabilities are implemented, balanced, and integrated to meet program milestones to deliver an exceptional service experience for General Motor's customers.
Responsibilities :
Serve as the technical leader responsible to define and manage delivery of the service experience roadmap. As such they will be responsible to all key deliveries, eliminating blockers and ensuring coordination across General Motors and impacted vendors
Resolve conflict and prioritize deliverables across system engineering, software workstreams and integration leads
Identify and manage technical and non-technical risks for execution of solution
Demonstrate status and manage expectations of Executive Leadership through monthly updates and immediate escalation when support is needed
Represent the Voice of the Customer for the Solution
Monitor and understand competition
Represent solution management to the rest of the organization
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Software Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related degree), Masters' Degree preferred
Knowledge of embedded controls as it pertains to vehicle development
Understanding of Systems Engineering principles
Understanding of the Global Vehicle Development Process
Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communications (oral & written) skills
Understanding of Agile Software development
10+ years' experience in diagnostic strategy: Aftersales Engineering, Product Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and root cause analysis skills, especially where problems are unusual and difficult.
Excellent multi-functional communication, technical leadership skills and collaboration.
Proven results in successful project execution.
