About the Group:

Technology Acceleration and Commercialization organization focuses on growing our battery technology reach and access globally in all battery tech segments to ensure GM is in a leading position in chemistry and cell design through investment, collaborations, and partnerships. Within this group, TRP Diagnostics and Prognostics – ALGOLiON focus is developing and releasing the earliest warning battery hazard detection and prevention software . ALGOLiON was formerly an Israel-based battery software startup and today is an integral part of the GM Technical Center Israel. Our TRP group uses ALGOLiON's novel algorithms to take data streams from battery management systems to identify anomalies in battery cell performance that may impact the performance of a battery pack or the safety of a vehicle

About the role:

We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer for developing an automated testing framework validating ALGOLiON novel algorithms and embedded software. This software will be deployed in GM electric vehicles.

What will you do:

  • Work with the Embedded SW & Integration Team to build appropriate testing for CI / CD infrastructure.
  • Perform integrations and deliver automation SW into our test environment.
  • Improve testing and regression environment by adding new automation scripts.
  • Ensure excellent quality of deliveries of TRP Early detection SW to dozens of global GM vehicle programs, sometimes in tight timeframes. Work with global teams (mostly Israel & USA) to achieve required performance metrics using CI / CD methodology. Always keep safety a priority and improve the safety of GM electric vehicles in the field of electric batteries.

    Qualifications:

  • BSc Computer science computers engineering electrical engineering.
  • Testing Automation development background – 5 + years hands-on experience.
  • Python, high level programming.
  • Familiar with Jenkins and CI CD methodology.
  • Familiar with GIT ecosystem.
  • Self-Fast-Learner, responsible, great communicational skills, team player, and details-driven character.
  • Excellent English skills both written and verbally.
  • Valid driving license – the successful candidate will get GM driver certification for testing our SW in GM electric vehicles.
