Work Arrangement:

Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired.

  • This position requires an employee to be on-site on average 1-3 days per week
  • The Role

    CCA's Global Aftersales Engineering organization has responsibility for the service readiness of every GM vehicle globally. We are looking for a leader that has a customer centric mindset who can efficiently and effectively execute a remanufacturing and distribution plan for the Ultium platform globally. This includes leading a cross functional team from strategy to scaled production, while resolving any execution, engineering, manufacturing, or supplier issues. This position is a critical role for GMs all electric future.

    What You'll Do:

    The Ultium Remanufacturing Manager will be responsible for leading all remanufacturing activities. This includes leading the development of long-term strategies for battery remanufacturing including business cases, distribution plans, capacity studies and other activities to ensure global availability.

    Creating sourcing documentation and incorporating all stakeholder input. Active in all technical reviews and supplier selection activities. Developing, communicating, and maintaining detailed project plans based on resources, deliverables, dependencies, risks and schedule targets. Driving the on-time completion of all deliverables to ensure a successful product launch.

    Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • 8+ years of experience in design, engineering, test/verification and execution of automotive components or systems

  • Experience working with High Voltage automotive systems.

  • Technical decision making and project management.

  • Drive resolution to open issues.

  • High level of interpersonal skills and ability to clearly communicate with internal and external stakeholders to drive project progress.

  • Experience launching a product successfully in a manufacturing facility.

  • Manage 3rd party suppliers and partners to ensure deadlines are achieved and deliverables are provided in a consistent and timely manner.

  • High level of independent judgment and decision making

  • Drive multiple projects, in parallel, through on-time delivery with cross- functional team members.

  • Work closely with and support various teams inside and outside of GM globally: cybersecurity, product engineering, suppliers/vendors, supply chain, purchasing and strategy.

  • Parts Release and BOM management.

  • Managing to a budget.

  • Exceptional presentation skills.

  • High level of capability to work independently

  • High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and complex

  • Clear and concise communication of project status with roadblocks identifies and recommended solutions.

  • Efficiently communicate issues/decisions to CCA and GM leadership.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent technical degree/experience

  • What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Technical experience working on Ultium or a GM electric vehicle program.

  • Master's degree (Technical or Business)

  • Experienced people leader
