Description

As a WMS lead you will be responsible for the Wentzville WMS Systems with respect to part number accuracy, data integrity, problem solving and continuous improvement. You will work with the IT team for systemic resolutions. The lead is responsible to keep other systems (MGO, PPS, VBIMS) aligned by working within the GSC organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Links & Supports Compression strategy into WMS Systems

  • Plan, Execute, and Maintain WMS process and configuration interfacing with PPS, EPS, MGO

  • Actively participate in detail business requirements gathering and project milestones

  • Planning, Configuration, & Validation (UAT & KUT)

  • WMS Training Lead

  • Support operational group leaders in Troubleshooting

  • Point out Productivity Opportunities based on numbers

  • Operational WMS Lead after Go Live. Ensures there are no interruptions to the assembly line and warehouse due to system issues

  • Planning & Operational Support for all systems (EPS, PPS, MGO, WMS);

  • Configuration due to continuous improvement processes (configuration due to POU changes or kitting/sequencing cells moving or being added);

  • EPS and PPS Configuration Lead

  • MGO Routing and Displacement Responsible

  • Quarterly Enhancements

  • KPIs, Metrics, and Data Reporting to Leadership and Central Office

  • Leads Label Compliance Audits

  • Technical support for Global Label Compliancy Process

  • Lead MOP (Manual Operation Procedure) in case of an unscheduled system down

  • Additional Description

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required - preferred degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management

  • Minimum 5 years of plant manufacturing experience required

  • High functional capability with material floor systems: MGO, RF-EPS, PPS, VBIMS;

  • Strong understanding of Supply Chain and Lean Materials Processes: Logistics, Receiving, Internal Materials Flow, LMS Kitting/Sequencing, Scrap and Obsolete Processes

  • High level of Problem Solving and analytical ability where problems are complex

  • Very Good Computer skills with understanding of Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Visio, etc;

  • Ability to treat and manage high amount of data mainly using Excel

  • These Job Functions are very technical. The technical lead maintains the material data management in the Manhattan Associate Software.

  • Experience with GMS SLT implementation and execution, as well as in Industrial Engineering

  • Open mind and Willingness to use data to improve productivity

  • Good oral and written communications skills

  • Interpersonal skills work in a cross functional environment to achieve results and drive the Business Transformation

  • Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, plan, and organize

  • Candidates must be flexible to working off shifts as this is a 3 shift operation.
