In this role, you will be in charge of ensuring that warehousing operations are executed in a safe, timely and efficient manner. This is a key position in the Electrification Installation Products (ELIP) team. This position coordinates inbound flow and outbound direct delivery scheduling / flow (carrier and equipment requirements). This position is the primary backup for the Shipping Clerk position and assist with internal customer service related tasks.

Your responsibilities
  • Coordinate with Transportation Management, Outbound Leadership and carriers to arrange timely order and direct delivery pick up
  • Coordinate with Transportation Management, Inbound Leadership and carriers to schedule inbound freight appointments
  • Performs systematic trailer arrival and departure
  • Prepare necessary documentation and contact carriers for pick up
  • Monitors, updates and actions intransit report and error logs
  • Provide assistance to customer service representatives concerning order status and special customer needs
  • Document control for Purchase Orders and Bills of Lading
  • Serve as a primary back up to the Senior Clerk (shipping)
  • Other duties as deemed necessary or assigned
  • Your background
  • High School Diploma or equivalency and minimum 2 years relevant experience
  • Computer skills required - Microsoft Word, Excel
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs frequently
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and priorities
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Detailed and team oriented
  • Flexible to work different shifts if necessary and overtime with little or no notice
  • Working knowledge of Blue Yonder, TOPS & MARC WMS systems
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
