TMD students graduate from inaugural RPIC class

February 03, 2023

DroneSense congratulate the Texas Military Department (TMD) for its landmark graduation of the inaugural Remote Pilot in Command (RPIC) class for Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS) within their armed forces. Students committed to an intense 2 week course to become well versed in areas of autonomous drone flights, emergency procedures, mission planning, night operations as well as vehicle borne and team operations. The training included certification under National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) UAS navigation and control standards. The newly graduated drone pilots will go on to work hand in hand with state and national entities, providing real time, actionable intelligence in the field and back to command staff. So while the next class will soon commence, DroneSense is wishing this class of graduates all the best for their future as drone pilots and thanks them for their service.
